Paediatric Prone CPR Manikin
The goal of this project was to design a Paediatric Prone-CPR ‘smart’ manikin that will be used to inform research and train clinicians in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on patients who are lying face down either during surgery or in intensive care. The aim was to simulate the anatomical and physiological characteristics of a human body in the prone position to provide realistic training scenarios that include techniques to maximise CPR effectiveness whilst minimising the risk of CPR induced trauma (such as cervical spine trauma).
